  • From 4/3/1995 to 1/1/1999 Position without tenure for the assignments first of Chief of Staff for the Minister without portfolio for Social Solidarity in two successive Governments, and then Advisor to the Interior Minister;
  • Since 4/6/1999, Director of the General Affairs Service of the Italian Senate;
  • Since 3/8/2001, Vice-General Secretary of the Italian Senate;
  • Member of Institute for Relations between Italy and Africa, Latin America, and the Middle and  Far East  (IPALMO) since it was founded, Vice President of the Institute from 1979 to 1984, and then Director of the Institute and the magazine Politica Internazionale. Since 2001, again Vice President;
