Health economist with a PhD at the University of Perugia and an MSc in Public Health at King’s college London, Stefano Orlando is currently a researcher at Tor Vergata University in Rome, department of Biomedicine and Prevention. Main areas of research are economic issues related to global health, especially on infectious disease in developing countries. He is currently focusing also on health and economic issues related to ageing in Europe and Africa.  
Beyond academic commitments, dr. Orlando is also manager of international cooperation programs in the health sector in Malawi, and coordinators of the youth section of the Italian NGO, Community of Sant’Egidio.
