On November 16, 2018 she has started her cooperation with Fincantieri S.p.A. as Senior Advisor to the President.
From April 7, 2015 to November 14, 2018 she has served as Italian Ambassador to Hanoi.
From July 2010 to April 6, 2015 she has served at the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York as First Counselor, Head of the Economic Development Desk, and Italian delegate to the Second Committee of the UN General Assembly. Her assignments included the negotiations to define the new Sustainable Development Goals, the post-2015 Development Agenda, and the new Financing for Development framework. Deputy Chair and Rapporteur of the Bureau for the Second UN Conference on Landlocked Countries, she also coordinated the activities of the Bureau of the UN’s Second Committee during Italy’s presidency of the body.
In 2008-2010 at the Office of the Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister, she handled relations with European Countries, including EU member Countries, and with international organizations (the international financial institutions, OECD, and the UN and its Specialized Agencies).
From 2004 to 2008 at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC she was Chief of Staff to the Ambassador and coordinator of the preparations for the visits to the USA of any official Italian delegation. 
From 2000 to 2004 she was Chief of the Economic and Trade Office of the Italian Embassy in Prague. One of her main duties was to provide support for Italian businesses interested in the privatization of state enterprises, particularly in the banking and energy sectors.
From 1996 to 2000 she served at the General Directorate for Economic Affairs of the Office in charge of relations with the international financial institutions and other major multilateral economic and trade institutions (OECD, ECOSOC, UNCTAD).
Prior to joining the diplomatic service, she worked in the economic and financial sector at the World Bank and at a primary Italian Bank.
She received her degree summa cum laude in Political Science from the University of Rome, “La Sapienza”, and earned a Master’s in International Finance and Foreign Trade.
She is fluent in English and French, with a good knowledge of Czech and an elementary knowledge of Chinese.
