L’equilibrio economico generale in condizioni di incertezza è presentato nel Capitolo 19 (General Equilibrium under Uncertainty) di Microeconomic Theory

In particolare, l’equilibrio di Arrow-Debreu è discusso nella sezione 19.C (Arrow-Debreu Equilibrium), mentre l’equilibrio sequenziale con attività finanziarie è nella sezione 19.E (Asset Markets). La Proposizione 19.E.1 enuncia il Teorema Fondamentale della Finanza. Vi invito anche a rivedere la sezione 19.F (Incomplete Markets) sulla teoria dei mercati incompleti

come anticipato, vi ho messo a disposizione nel materiale del corso qui e su TEAMS, i risultati dell’esame scritto di Aprile.

Per ragioni di privacy, i nomi sono stati oscurati e dovrete quindi cercare il vostro risultato utilizzando il numero di matricola. Nello schema troverete indicata la votazione finale, che comprende anche gli eventuali punteggi ottenuti nei micro-task. Il voto riportato è quello complessivo.

Per chi desidera visionare il compito e approfondire i risultati nel dettaglio, ho organizzato una sessione di revisione martedì 20 maggio, dalle 14:00 alle 16:00 in aula P4.

Se qualcuno avesse difficoltà a partecipare in quell’orario ma fosse comunque interessato a vedere il compito, vi invito a mandarmi una mail. Sarò presente in facoltà anche lunedì per l’intera giornata e martedì mattina. Anche se sarò impegnato con altre lezioni, possiamo trovare un momento utile per un confronto.

Dopo la revisione di martedì, procederò con l’inserimento ufficiale della valutazione in Delphi. Se qualcuno di voi volesse rifiutare il voto, vi chiedo cortesemente di contattarmi prima dell’inserimento, oppure di proporre una modifica direttamente una volta ricevuta la notifica ufficiale. Preferirei la prima modalità, per evitare un doppio passaggio e semplificare la procedura.

as mentioned in class, It will be important next week to start all our lectures and presentation days at 11 sharp.

Since I said that the presentations will be in the last two lectures, and we have 14 presentations, we will have seven presentations each day. This means that it is very important that you respect the allocated time of (maximum) 15 minutes each, including the technical time to load the presentation on the computer, etc.

It would be ideal if you could email me and Susie your presentation by Tuesday evening, so that we can put them on a memory stick before the beginning of the sessions on Wednesday at 11, and you don't lose part of your 15 minutes loading and finding the final of your presentation.

Please remember that your attendance to others' presentations in both days will be taken into account, and it will be important for the exam: some of the exam questions will be connected to some of the papers presented, and you're expected in your answers to make that connection. The main content of the presented paper is part of the program.

Il Programma UIIP (www.uiip.it) è un programma realizzato nell'ambito delle attività del centro di ricerca e formazione Biogem (partecipato da Atenei ed Enti pubblici di ricerca) completamente gratuito per i partecipanti, in quanto finanziato  dalle nostre aziende partner, operanti nel settore Digital, (a titolo non esaustivo Accenture, Deloitte, BGP Consulting ), aziende, che al termine di una fase di formazione d'aula di circa 8-10 settimane, assorbono nel loro organico i partecipanti a tale iniziativa, adeguatamente formati su tematiche Funzionali ICT, quali ad esempio SAP, Data Analytics, Digital Web. L'inserimento in azienda avviene con stage, finalizzati all'assunzione.

UIIP è aperto a laureati di 1° e 2° livello e vanta un placement aziendale del 98%, che avviene subito dopo la fase di formazione che si svolge ad Ariano Irpino (AV).

 Il Fondo Internazionale per lo Sviluppo Agricolo (IFAD) ogni anno accoglie quattro tirocinanti retribuiti (con un'indennità di circa 750 euro mensili). per attività legate a gestione del personale e delle risorse umane.
Attualmente sono alla ricerca di un nuovo tirocinante: età inferiore ai 30 anni, aver completato almeno due anni di studi universitari ed essere attualmente iscritti o aver conseguito il titolo da non più di 24 mesi. La lingua di lavoro è l’inglese, che rappresenta un ulteriore requisito fondamentale. Non è richiesta esperienza professionale richiesta.

L'equilibrio economico generale e i teoremi del benessere sociale sono trattanti nel Capitolo 15 (General equilibrium theory: Some examples) e nel  Capitolo 16 (Equilibrium and its basic welfare properties) di Microeconomic Theory.

Più in particolare, troverete a scatola di Edgeworth nella sezione 15.B, il primo teorema del benessere nella sezione 16.C, il secondo teorema del benessere nella sezione 16.D e l'ottimo sociale nella sezione 16.E.

In materiale didattico sono disponibili gli appunti sul metodo di Negishi.

Vi consiglio anche di riguardare il teorema di separazione nella sezione M.G e il teorema di punto fisso nella sezione M.I dell'appendice matematica di Microeconomic Theory.

I'll give a talk on the true nature (and beauty) of the mathematical knowledge. As you know I insist that Mathematics should be thaught as an art and not as a science. I'll discuss how this approach should be used to change the role of Mathematics in schools, universities and society in general.

Dear students,

I would like to inform you about the event "Donne, Finanza ed Etica", which I co-organized within the 2025 Festival of Sustainable Development.

The event will focus on the relationship between gender and educational and professional environments related to economics and finance. The book "Il coraggio di contare" by Natascha Lusenti—writer, journalist, and TV host—will be presented, with the author herself in attendance, along with Teresa Masciopinto, President of the Ethical Finance Foundation.

The event will also be an opportunity to share the experience of the "focus group on gender", including both faculty and students, which administered a survey on the perception of gender differences in education and job market outcomes among the students of the Faculty of Economics at Tor Vergata. This project has led to several undergraduate and graduate theses.

The event is free of charge and will take place at the "Salotto della Biblioteca", next Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

I hope to see many of you there.

Dear students,

The link to the folder with the papers among which you can choose the one you want to present will be soon made available to you by e-mail.

When you have chosen your paper, reply to the mail using "reply all" indicating the paper you chose, so thet other students know that the paper has already been chosen.

If somebody else chose a papers before you, you have to choose another one.

As I explained in class, if the paper you choose is technical, mathematically or econometrically, you of course don’t need to go into the technicalities.

In that case, you can read carefully the introduction, the literature review, the main results and the conclusions. What you need to present, for these technical papers, is indicatively:

• What are the main research questions
• Why are they important in general
• How do they relate to our course
• What are the answers they provide (and how they get to the answers, but without too much technicality)
• How do the answers contribute to the knowledge we had before this paper was written
• Why the answers are important, in general and in relation to what we discussed in class
• What is your opinion on the study

Since you have 15 minutes, including questions, do not produce too many slides. Depending on how they are (try not to make them too full otherwise the audience will read them instead of listening to you), I think it should be below 10 sides, I would stay towards 7 or 8, and try how long does it take to present.

Please do not use characters smaller than 20 in the slides.
